Information center for Local Public Administration will be opened in Ialoveni Town. The project was realized/initiated after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on June 29, 2012 between the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction of Moldova and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. the project  aimed at strengthening local public administration in Moldova and non-governamental institutions. Mr. Krzysztof Kolanowski was appointed director of the center, the Program Manager for transborder Lithuana-Poland, visited the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and the Center Regional Development Agency to know the main partners they will work with. 

Minister Marcel Raducan spoke about MDRC objectives and priorities in regional development and explained the mechanism for approval of funds and implementation of regional development projects. The minister also expressed hope that in early December, when  President of Poland will be visiting  our state the and the center launched, there will be the first joint initiative. In turn, Krzysztof Kolanowski confirmed that there will be effective cooperation, mentioning that he has a lot of experience which he will share with local public administrations.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Construction, Veaceslav Gututui, Regional Development Director Valerian Binzaru, Svetlana Rogov, Head of International Relations and attracting investors, Regional Development Agencies directors and other heads of the ministry responsible for regional development. 

The official launch of the Center is planned for the first week of December. The Information Center will be responsible for providing information on international financial assistance (including EU) for the government of RM, APL and NGOs in Moldova.
